TIME: 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
With rapid urbanization and population growth, more people live and work in cities. This has led to an increased need for taller buildings and increased density in urban environments and a lack of affordable housing in cities. In light of the recent changes to the Ontario Building Code, CSA Group’s Standards in Modular Construction can help to address these challenges. CSA Group’s newly published standard “CSA Z250 – Process for Delivery of Volumetric Modular Buildings”, describes the main differences between traditional and modular construction, helping those involved in regulatory permitting, inspection, and approvals better understand the offsite building component, quality control programs, and certification processes. This webinar will also discuss briefly CSA A277 Procedure for Certification of Prefabricated Buildings, Modules, and Panels, and CSA Z240 10.1 Site Preparation, Foundation, and Anchorage of Manufactured Homes
OAA recommends that members familiarize themselves with the standards prior to the webinar. This can be done via the OAA’s CSA Standards Access Program.
