These author-led sessions are designed to explain the underlying principles behind CCDC documents and teach you their correct application and use. January – CCDC 5A & CCDC 17 webinar:
January’s webinar will give an overview and comparison of construction management (CM) methods focusing on CCDC 5A and CCDC 17. CCDC 5A is a service contract between the Owner and Construction Manager where the Owner contracts directly with Trade Contractors using CCDC 17.
The webinar will discuss the differences between this method and using CCDC 5B, a contract for services and construction for which the Construction Manager engages Trade Contractors as subcontractors and is responsible for their performance. The webinar will present the key provisions and philosophy behind the CM methods.

February – CCDC 5B webinar:
February’s webinar will take a detailed look at the CCDC 5B – Construction Management Contract – for Services and Construction for which the Construction Manager engages Trade Contractors as subcontractors and is responsible for their performance. The CCDC authors will focus on how to execute the various options offered within the contract document.
