TIME: 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Session Abstract:
The Net Zero Architects' Network (NZAN) is committed to finding ways to make big reductions in emissions from the homes we live in now. By developing and sharing the best solutions, our team will help fellow architects learn what they can do to greatly lower the environmental impact of their houses. A panel of NZAN members will discuss/demonstrate through their work how residential retrofits can play a role in reducing carbon emissions from the building sector.
Learning Outcomes:
• Relative importance of upfront carbon and material selection
• Proven strategies to reduce carbon footprint
• Tools to measure carbon footprint
• CUI payback calculation
