Addressing Load Management Challenges for the “New Load” Profiles of Energy Efficient Homes

TIME: 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Session Abstract:
In this session we’ll hear about key barriers Net Zero builders face when it comes to occupant loads, electric demand loads and panel upgrades, as well as regulatory barriers to electrification. Together, with the audience, the session will discuss effective solutions and explore useful next steps.

Learning Outcomes:
• Charging EVs forces costly panel upgrades. • Demand load factors for panel sizing are outdated. Changes to home battery storage. Large heat pumps causing voltage disruptions.
