In this course, students apply the concepts of sustainability and the technologies that deliver energy efficiency in the construction phases of a project. They examine various available environmental design rating systems for residential and commercial new construction projects and available incentive programs related to sustainability and energy efficiency.

Instructor: Gamal Mohammed Ph.D., M.Arch, M.phil.
Gamal is 23 years experience in Architecture profession and teaching, he is a professor at George Brown College, School of Construction Management. Gamal also, is a senior practicing Architectural Designer whose research Mohammed and Mahmoud 19 and practice focuses on the architecture in historic contexts. Gamal is a specialist in examination and analysis of architectural elevations and decoration of 18th and 19th centuries and modern and post-modern facades. As a university professor with a diverse professional background in architecture, and urban design, Gamal has solid experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in sustainable architecture.
