OPPI21, Ontario’s largest annual conference for planning professionals is on October 6, 13 and 20.
Ontario’s municipalities and the planning community have spent most of 2020 responding to the pandemic.
Now. What.
It would be an understatement to say that the last year has been a challenging one. The pandemic has disrupted nearly every aspect of our lives, made us question how we do things, and forced us to adapt. For the planning profession, it has presented an opportunity to redefine the role of professional planners as a vital part of the recovery of Ontario’s communities. OPPI21 will explore where we go from here: what it means to move forward in economic development and sustainability, technology, and healing – issues that are fundamental to life in 2021 and beyond.
This year's OPPI conference will be held virtually, with all sessions being broadcast online. If circumstances allow, there is the possibility of gathering in-person in Kitchener-Watelroo for certain portions of the conference program. OPPI will continue to monitor the latest government and public health recommendations and will share more information at a later date, should it be safe to conduct any portion of the conference in person.
