Measurement and evaluation are critical tools in assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the design, delivery, and outcomes of programs and policies. With a focus on low carbon energy programs, this 4-day course will equip participants with the skills to determine whether energy-related programs should achieve their anticipated output and outcomes, and whether there are opportunities to improve effectiveness. Taught by Carleton research faculty and experts in the energy field, participants will learn to apply the logic model to low carbon energy programs, develop performance indicators, develop and evaluate outputs and outcomes, and learn through networking. A closing session on putting the learnings to use in the workplace will complete the course.
