CSI - Understanding Manufactured Stone Veneer: Installation, Techniques & More
Learning Objectives – The scope of the presentation will cover three areas; Basic installation requirements, a commonly used detail review and a tour of MSV Textures and Colors. There are code and manufacturer installation requirements that are key to a successful and long lasting project that should be followed from design to planning and through installation. The presentation will cover from the back up wall system through installation of the manufactured stone veneer. A crucial step in a project is the planning of flashings, transitions and penetrations in a MSV wall. We will look at the commonly used and requested details available to protect the structure from the elements. Finally, we will see what new and innovative textures are available along with the colors developed to stay on trend with current customer demands. Target Audience – Mason, Applicator/Contractor, Builder, Architect, Designer or anyone using manufactured stone veneer.
