Understanding Below Grade Waterproofing Systems and Design Options
Is your building designed to combat a lifetime of physical challenges such as expansion and contraction, shifting foundations, building settling, hydrostatic pressure, and waterproofing longevity? Understanding how to properly design and specify a waterproofing assembly to meet project specific need is the first step in constructing a watertight building envelope. Through a detailed discussion, this presentation will help you understand how to select an effective waterproofing assembly to avoid water penetration and avoid costly repairs.
Advanced waterproofing solutions with a PUMA System
This presentation will describe overcoming waterproofing challenges by utilizing a liquid-applied PUMA system. PUMA is a cold fluid-applied waterproofing system with quick-curing technology providing long-term stability, permanent UV exposure resistance to impact, scratches, punctures and slip resistance. PUMA technical advances allow for waterproofing certainty where sheet-applied membranes are difficult to install due to complex design and construction requirements. Through this step-by-step presentation, you will understand how PUMA may solve common installation obstacles and how to properly specify/install a PUMA system to suit project specific needs. Enjoy an engaged discussion, find out which system is right for your project, and ask project specific questions in the comfort of your office!
Air barrier assemblies: technology, installation and code compliance
Advancements in air barrier technology and higher accountability for indoor air quality, energy efficiency and fire protection lead to increasingly complex design and construction requirements. This course reviews technology options and critical design and installation practices of exterior wall assemblies to ensure long term stability, code compliance, and occupant health, safety, and welfare.
Hot Rubberized Asphalt Roofing & Waterproofing
Hot rubberized asphalt has been an industry standard waterproofing system providing cost effective monolithic, fully bonded protection to plaza decks, parking garages, tunnels vegetative roof assemblies and protected membrane roof assemblies. This course covers design considerations, surface preparation and installation practices for a successful project.
Certificates will be provided.
