Session Abstract:

Understanding the link between the Firm’s financial performance and its overall value is a critical component of a well-planned organic succession strategy.  A customized Executive Financial Dashboard of Key Performance Indicators is an excellent tool to be used to develop financial literacy for current and future leaders. In the Succession Plan process, the Dashboard is used to communicate summarized financial information to employees who have been presented with an Offer of Ownership.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the direct link between the firm's financial performance and overall firm value, including tangible and intangible factors.
  • Learn about select industry Key Performance Indicators that can be used to manage operations, guide strategy and build firm value
  • Learn how to develop an Executive Financial Dashboard of Key Performance Indicators, customized to the Firm’s needs
  • Understand how the Executive Financial Dashboard is used as a learning and communications tool in an organic Succession Plan

About the Speaker:

 Elaine Pantel is a seasoned independent consultant with over 30 years of experience, including more than 20 years of providing strategic advisory services to executive leaders in the Architecture, Engineering, and Design (AED) industry. Before transitioning to independent consulting, Elaine was a Partner at a Toronto-based CPA firm, where she honed her expertise consulting in the areas of firm value generation, succession planning, financial literacy and M&A.

Elaine’s deep understanding of the AED industry's unique challenges and strategic goals has empowered firm leaders to achieve sustainable growth and long-term success. She has designed and delivered educational presentations for prominent industry organizations.

Elaine’s approach integrates customized financial dashboards, KPI analysis, and tailored succession planning models, ensuring that firms not only navigate their current financial landscapes but also plan effectively for future leadership transitions.
