Very few architects have managed to read the professional liability insurance policy they are required to maintain as a condition of practice.

Reference will also be made to a number of the significant differences in coverage under Policy No 4. (Increased Limits).

As a complement to the discussion about the Policy content, the program will also include a review of the circumstances that led to the Elliot Lake Mall collapse in June 2012 and the findings and conclusions of the Commission or Inquiry that was called to determine the causes of the collapse and make recommendations to avoid a similar catastrophe in the future.

The Elliot Lake Mall presentation will include a discussion of the ensuing litigation involving architects  and the assistance provided by their professional liability insurance.

Con-Ed Points:
Attendance at the event will qualify for 3 hours of Structured Learning. Pro-Demnity will arrange to provide the necessary certificate of attendance.
