This session will present the most relevant and compelling findings on the environmental impact of plants on people’s physical, psychological and behavioral needs within the built environment. Participants will be able to quantify the environmental contributions of plants to a building interior. They will gain practical insight into the bottom-line and human-centered benefits to designing with interior plants. At the end of the program, participants will comprehend exactly how the biophilia design factor (the human affinity for natural things) profoundly effects the well being and overall profitability of the modern built environment. Attendees will walk away with concrete suggestions as to how to use this design consideration.
