This course focuses on building technology, components, and techniques with emphasis on the building science. Students analyze environmental factors, sustainable technology, regulations and codes to understand thermal and moisture protection in the building enclosure. Students research and apply construction specifications and details for building materials and building assemblies.

Instructor: Gamal Mohammed Ph.D., M.Arch, M.phil.
Gamal is 23 years experience in Architecture profession and teaching, he is a professor at George Brown College, School of Construction Management. Gamal also, is a senior practicing Architectural Designer whose research Mohammed and Mahmoud 19 and practice focuses on the architecture in historic contexts. Gamal is a specialist in examination and analysis of architectural elevations and decoration of 18th and 19th centuries and modern and post-modern facades. As a university professor with a diverse professional background in architecture, and urban design, Gamal has solid experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in sustainable architecture.
