Agata Mancini
CHAIR, HAMILTON & BURLINGTON SOCIETY OF ARCHITECTS & PRINICIPAL, ASSEMBLED LIGHT, ARCHITECTURE & INTERIOR DESIGN
Agata Mancini is an architect and the owner of Assembled Light Inc. Her firm focuses on healthy home- and city-building through modern, detail-oriented design interventions. To ensure design accessibility, she provides a range of services from consultations and pre-designed homes to fully-custom interior design and architectural services.
While serving on OAA Council, Mancini was elected Vice President Education in 2020 and Senior Vice President & Treasurer in 2021. She is the current chair of the Hamilton Burlington Society of Architects, which advocates for architecture by sparking relevant conversations with the general public and promoting the importance of design as a cultural resource.
Camille Mitchell
ARCHITECT, GENSLER
Camille Mitchell is an architect at Gensler who leverages her extensive experience on award-winning projects to advocate for under-represented groups. Her continued involvement with various local organizations and professional affiliations aligns with a desire to shift the narrative of the architecture and design industry. Mitchell is a founding member of the independent organizations Building Equality in Architecture Toronto (BEAT) and Black Architects + Interior Designer Association (BAIDA), whose programs support mentorship, networking, and leadership opportunities for women and visible minorities in the architecture profession. She was also selected to join the Urban Land Institute's Women in Leadership Initiative Championship Team. In recognition of her exceptional commitment to volunteer leadership and contributions above-and-beyond her professional role, Mitchell was awarded the OAA’s 2022 G. Randy Roberts Service as well as the Alumni Achievement Medal for Community Service presented by the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
Diana Lee Osborne
ARCHITECT (RETIRED)
Diana Lee Osborne was the partner of the late G. Randy Roberts, a past OAA President and the namesake of the Service Award. She has stewarded the award since the award began in 2007.
Settimo Vilardi
OAA PRESIDENT
Settimo Vilardi, OAA President, is the principal and co-owner of Windsor-based Archon Architects Incorporated. He has more than 20 years of experience, leading a variety of residential, institutional, commercial, industrial, and civic projects. A member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC), and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional, he has sat as a board member for Pro-Demnity Insurance, and has participated on various OAA Committees relating to practice, governance, political advocacy, and finance. Settimo graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (Visual Arts) from the University of Windsor and received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Toronto.
JURY FACILITATOR
Bill Birdsell is a Guelph-based architect and a
past-president of the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA). He has designed a
broad range of small, community-based schools, churches, corporate, municipal,
provincial, university, and federal offices, in addition to a fleet of ambulance
centres. His interior design work has been distinguished by his time as The
Co-operators General Insurance’s corporate architect, where he showed how great
workplaces can be a competitive tool. Throughout his career, Bill has served
the profession as a mentor and was recognized in 2017 with the OAA’s G. Randy
Roberts Service Award for his exceptional contributions to the profession.
