Construction contract administration is considered by some architects as the most vexing stage of project execution. It can be overwhelming if the tasks of logging, tracking, routing and review of thousands of documents are done manually or with only rudimentary tools to help.
The OAA’s Construction Contract Administration Committee (CCAC) has prepared an informative article on CCA specific software products available for architects. It includes a cost comparison and how standard software, such as MS Word and Excel, can best be used by practices who choose not to invest in specialized CCA software. It is based on results from an OAA province-wide survey and the experiences of individual architects with specific software.
