3.2.1 Final Coordination

Beyond the technical coordination between disciplines/systems and details/specifications that will have evolved throughout the contract document phase, final coordination should focus on consistency of key project information. During what is often a hectic time, some specific items to be aware of are:

  • Finalizing and providing in advance of the deadline, for inclusion in master table of contents, the consultant drawing sheet names/numbers, specification sections, and seal sheets.
  • Agreeing on the issue/revision date and purpose to appear in all title blocks and specification headers
  • Making clear any specific information required to be included, such as a specific contract or bid number or client reference number.
  • Circulation of any documents which require multiple signatures/seals well in advance of the deadline (Commitment to General Review Forms, “Seals Page” of Specifications/Project Manual) so this relatively simple task does not become a bottleneck.
