Senior Architectural Technologist

 

What You Will Do:

Gannett Fleming Architects Canada Inc. is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our Building Structures Group in Toronto, ON. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Toronto office.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead the production of construction documentation for various building types from conception to completion.
  • Collaborate on multiple projects with internal team members and external consultants, taking projects from design development to construction completion.
  • Act as a trusted advisor in coordinating with consultants and identifying high-level technical solutions as problems arise.
  • Provide specialized knowledge by advising on materials, technology, and processes involved in building design, while applying a thorough understanding of building science methodologies.
  • Prepare comprehensive documents for planning permission and acquire necessary approvals.
  • Assist with construction administration activities, including shop drawing review, specifications, and site instructions.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry advancements by keeping up-to-date with legislation, standards, and technological innovations in the field.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and relationship-building skills, while mentoring and coaching junior team members.
  • Champion executive decision-making and strategic development through visionary leadership.

 

Education | Experience:

What you will bring to our firm:

  • Diploma from an accredited Architectural Technologist Program or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of direct experience in a Senior Architectural Technologist role.
  • Advanced skills with Revit; candidates must have 10+ years of experience.
  • Specialized knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation:

The range for this position is salary dependent upon experience and geographic location.
