Position Description for Senior Architect

We have an immediate opening for an Architect to lead projects and participate in the growth of our firm.  This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the next generation of leadership in an established firm that values initiative and creativity.

Your Capabilities and Responsibilities include:

• Leading and coordinating with in-house teams and consultants on complex projects.

• Management of construction review and contract administration phases of work.

• Contributing to maintaining and improving strong office policies, procedures and systems.

Your Qualifications:

• Architecture Degree.

• Member of the Ontario Association of Architects (or another provincial association).

• Minimum 10 years experience in architectural practice.

• Creativity, judgement, interpersonal skills, rigor, and organizational skills.

• L.E.E.D. WELL or other sustainability certification an asset.

• Technical drawing ability i.e., CAD and Revit.

• Ability to work in French an asset.

• Able to work in an open, collaborative studio environment.

• Full knowledge of local construction systems and related detailing including the integration of sustainable building design criteria.

• Extensive experience with local city development and permit processes.

Salary Range$90,000 - $120,000 per year
