We are looking for a skilled and capable Intermediate Architect. Responsibilities

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 8 years’ full-time experience. Your duties will include, among other assignments:  

  • Schematic design, design development, and construction drawings.

  • Construction Administration, Site Review, Shop Drawing Review, Consultant Coordination, and Issuance of Reports and Change Orders.

  • 3-D modeling and visualization to explore design options and for presentation to Clients.

  • Graphic Design (presentations & marketing)

  • Periodic review of Revit models to ensure technical standards and quality control in the office.

  •  Management and review of the in-house Revit template and office standards.

 

Requirements

  • Expertise with construction drawings and developing details especially pertaining to building envelope.

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe.

  • Articulate and a good listener with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Well-organized, self-motivated, flexible, and with a positive outlook.

  • Ability to work well either on a team or independently.

  •  Ability to manage assigned tasks in a timely manner, and provide updates to the project manager.

 

Assets

  • Expertise in sustainable building features and design.

  • Knowledge of Part 3 and Part 9 of the OBC.

  • Familiarity with municipal approvals process for building projects.

  • Experience in residential design.

  • Experience in Interior Design, preferably for single-family homes.

  •  Active interest in arts and culture.

Salary Range $80K minimum; commensurate with applicable experience and qualifications.
