The Region of Waterloo has approved a multi-phase approach to redevelop the former Charles Street Terminal site in the heart of Downtown Kitchener. The long-term vision for the block includes community spaces, public areas, connections to transit and Victoria Park, and new affordable and market rate housing.

A phased approach means the site is redeveloped in sections over time, allowing the project to move forward in steps.
