Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) is hosting two summer camps for aspiring young creatives this year. Open to campers aged 9–14, these programs combine hands-on learning with engaging physical activities.
The
Architectural Science Camp welcomes children aged 9–13 to explore their creativity through architecture-themed projects. Led by TMU Architectural Science students and curated by Professor Vince Hui, a past recipient of the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations Teacher Award, campers will engage in such imaginative activities as building book nooks, constructing Rice Krispies Treats structures, and creating interactive walls. Weekly sessions run from
June 30–August 8, with four- or five-day programs priced between $430 and $495.
For children aged 10–14, the
Digital Creativity Camp will offer an introduction to graphic design using industry-standard tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Over five days, campers will learn skills like photo editing, vector illustration, and laser cutting. Sessions are scheduled for
August 11–15 and
August 18–22, at a cost of $475.
Both camps prioritize a balance of creative programming and outdoor activities, ensuring kids develop both their skills and their love for teamwork. Registration closes three business days prior to the start of each session or when spots fill up.
