Preparing an RFP Proposal? Check Out this Practice Tip on Problematic Language to Help Identify Risks

Endorsed by Council in June 2025, the refreshed Practice Tip PT. 39.1 Best Practices for Review of RFP Language and Supplementary Conditions to OAA 600 and Other Architectural Services Contracts provides guidance related to identifying and dealing with problematic RFP language.

The key changes include:

  • General updates, such as replacing use of the term “architect” with “certificate of practice holder”;
  • Minor updates to formatting and subtitles;
  • Updated links to related resources, such as those available on the Pro-Demnity website; etc.

Other Updates & Resources on the OAA Website

Over the next couple of months, other peripheral resources located in the OAA’s Practice Advisory Knowledge Base may be updated to align with the updates to this Practice Tip. Stay tuned for future updates in the OAA Practice Newsletters.
