OAA Ending Sales of CCDC Documents
Digital Documents Still Available Through SignaSur
As of November 30, 2026, the OAA will no longer offer physical copies of Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) contracts, contract seals, or guides through its online store or at its Toronto Headquarters for in-person purchase. They will continue to be available via the Canadian Construction Association’s (CCA’s) new digital platform, SignaSur.
As mentioned earlier this year in the OAA’s Practice Advisory newsletter, a phaseout of hard-copy versions of CCDC documents and seals has been in the works, with some items already withdrawn. Moving forward, updated and protected versions will be solely offered digitally via the CCA’s subscription-based SignaSur, which intends to provide “instant access to secure, collaborative contract management for the construction industry.” After April 1, 2027, you will no longer be able to redeem traditional CCDC or CCA registration codes or download the associated PDF documents from the CCDC or CCA websites.
Currently, SignaSur access is offered through some construction associations, with additional outlets expected to be announced shortly for Ontario and other jurisdictions. For more information, you can contact support@signasur.ca.
Used on projects throughout Ontario, these seals and documents are developed by CCDC, which comprises CCA, Construction Specifications Canada (CSC), the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC) Canada, and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC).
You can find numerous Practice Tips (PTs) related to the CCDC documents in the OAA’s Practice Advisory Knowledge Base as well as Joint Bulletins such as OAA-OGCA Recommended Supplementary Conditions to CCDC 2-2020 in the Documents and Publications section of the website.
