The City of Brampton is taking steps to improve its architectural control for ground-related residential developments, a practice that has long contributed to the city’s high-quality architectural landscape. Control Architects play a crucial role in ensuring the consistent application of design guidelines and promoting community character within different neighbourhoods.

To support this initiative, the City of Brampton maintains a roster of pre-approved Control Architects, offering developers a diverse selection for their projects. Brampton is now expanding its roster by inviting qualified architectural firms to apply for inclusion.

Interested firms can find details regarding the application requirements in Item 7.3 of the Brampton PDC Staff Report August 12, 2024. To apply, candidates must submit a cover letter requesting to be added to the list, along with work samples and/or a portfolio that meets the qualifications specified in the report. The deadline for submissions is November 15, and applications should be directed to udg@brampton.ca.
