The SABMag has revealed the winners of its 18th annual Canadian Green Building Awards, which recognizes outstanding achievements in sustainable design. This year’s jury awarded 11 projects across various categories, celebrating innovative and environmentally conscious architecture.
Key winners include the Lakeridge Logistics Centre in Ajax, and the Toronto Regional Conservation Authority Headquarters in North York, both recognized in the Commercial Industrial Large category. The Institutional Large Award was presented to Fanshawe College Innovation Village in London, while the Institutional Small Award was given to the Canadian Centre for Climate Change and Adaptation in PEI.
The UBC Smart Hydrogen Energy District (SHED) in Vancouver, meanwhile, earned top honours in the Commercial Industrial (Small) category. Montreal's City Hall transformation, meanwhile, secured the Existing Building Upgrade Award, alongside the Ross Creek Annex in Nova Scotia.
