The OAA is very pleased to announce a free Keynote to kick off registration for this year’s virtual Conference. Broadcaster, advocate, and pop culture philosopher Jesse Wente will be speaking on the Conference’s central theme of “Cultivate Inclusivity” on Wednesday, April 21, at 1:00 pm. Wente has appeared on CBC Radio’s Metro Morning as a film and pop culture critic for 20 years and previously served as Director of Film Programmes at TIFF Bell Lightbox, overseeing theatrical, Cinematheque, and Film Circuit programming. A self-described “Ojibwe dude” with a national and international lens, he encourages audiences to consider diversity and inclusion into the future view of their profession and country.
This free event officially launches registration for this year’s OAA Conference, held virtually the week of May 17 to 21.
It is open to the public via streaming options on the OAA’s YouTube channel. Live Q&A session! Please ask on Twitter using
