Inspiring Climate Action: How Approaches in Biophilia, Salutogenic Design, and Indigenous Knowledge - Keeping Lead to Climate Action

Hybrid: live audience + moderator onsite at Beanfield Centre with virtual panelists

1.5 ConEd Learning Hours

Sponsored by UNIQ Dimensions

Advancing the narrative from “green” to “restorative” means exploring how our relationship with nature can impact our physical and mental well-being, as well as the role nature plays in design. While discussing ways to respect Indigenous knowledge-keeping, stewardship, and world views, the presenters will also explore mechanisms and methodologies that will help measure the impact of these design approaches. Gain an understanding of how the built environment can benefit the human condition while it sustains the environment.

Learning Objectives:

1. Learn how our relationship with nature can impact our physical and mental well-being.
2. Explore mechanisms and methodologies to measure impact.
3. Advance the narrative from green to restorative.
4. Gain insight into how Indigeneity, knowledge-keeping, and world views can be invaluable resources for your design thinking
