Jane Burgess (Stevens Burgess Architects) achieved the goal of a “destination winery” in her design that created a harmonious streetscape of buildings united and also reflected each building’s diverse use. Over the course of three phases, two new purpose-built buildings were constructed and two heritage buildings were adapted and reused. The new builds of the Production Building and the Event Centre act as bookends for the two heritage buildings. The Woodruff House, whose conservation won the Peter J. Stokes Heritage Award, is situated in the place of honour and positioned at the axis of both entries to the site. On this tour, sponsored by ETG Exterior Technologies Group, Burgess will walk through this $15 million three-phase project with Paul Harber, Chef Proprietor and Co-owner of Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery.
