2 ConEd Learning Hours
The Centennial College Downsview Campus Centre for Aerospace and Aviation adaptively reuses one of the most remarkable sites in Canadian aviation history. A building that was once the centre of aviation manufacturing and design in Canada is transformed into an innovative learning institution for the college’s Aviation and Engineering Technology & Applied Science Programs. In celebrating the rich history of the site, combined with the college’s investment into education and research in the aviation sector, the new facility introduces a bold graphics strategy that chronicles the sites extensive past while looking to its reimagined future. A comprehensive wayfinding plan delivers accessibility and eases user navigation while a distinctive palette harks to the facility’s former purpose, bridging the past and present in its approach.
