Basements can be valuable, comfortable, healthy, and safe living areas. This session explores radon abatement systems, as well as the considerations for exterior basement enclosure and drainage assemblies. Attendees will also learn about how to use split-insulation interior basement enclosures and various ways to reduce energy loss through foundations.

Learning Objectives

1. Learn about innovative radon abatement systems that can help secure basements as valuable, comfortable, healthy, and safe.
2. Understand the considerations for exterior basement enclosure and drainage systems.
3. Learn about the use of split insulation interior basement enclosure systems.
4. Learn ways to reduce energy loss through the basement (i.e. foundation) by 25 per cent.
