Closing Keynote: Toni Morgan

Sponsored by the Concrete Council of Canada

Location: Niagara Falls Convention Centre, Theatre/Junior Ballroom A

1 ConEd Learning Hour

2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

By popular demand, the OAA has brought back the in-person Keynote session! After three days of exploring the architecture profession’s role in addressing emerging and long-standing issues related to housing, this coda to the Conference will offer a different perspective on what it means to find a home and a community, as well as how to become self-empowered to make a change for yourself and for others.

Tonika “Toni” Morgan is an award-winning educator, leader, and social entrepreneur. Since 2003, she has successfully launched and led initiatives that address issues of justice, injustice, organizational change, and inclusion in numerous sectors including education, housing, arts, and most recently, tech. Her incredible story about her transition from homeless high school dropout in Toronto, to youth advocate, to international role model and Harvard graduate provides audiences with a thrilling and inspiring peek into the world of a leader on the rise. She has used her personal story to transform the lives of others through innovative education programming in her hometown and beyond.

Come together with other Conference delegates to hear her story, reflect on wider themes of housing, and cap off a multi-day experience of learning, growing, and collaborating.
