Join Us and learn from carbon reduction leaders about global carbon reduction initiatives in healthcare facilities, procurement, planning, design and operations.
CCHF has organized thought provoking panels and presentations of international leaders that are moving the needle forward on carbon reductions in Denmark, United Kingdom, the United States and here at home. They will discuss their approaches, challenges across projects and systems and share their insights on how to move forward to ensure carbon reductions are integrated projects in a practical manner benefitting clients and creating better outcomes for the environment and heath.
Outcomes & Objectives:
-Learn about the strategic and holistic approach of National Health System in the UK to achieving net zero and a circular economy through planning and design of services and care models, including the contribution of supply chain and future location and delivery of health services
- Exploring strategic collaborations and new procurement delivery models to achieve decarbonization goals integrating carbon reductions from planning through to construction to facilities & maintenance and operations
- Key design innovations and energy partnerships developed for a carbon reduced facility at Palo Alto’s, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, California (designated LEED Platinum) and how health systems in the US are moving even further to reduce carbon footprints in future planning and design
- Carbon reducing strategies in Denmark’s Hospitals including reduced area, planning in large scale projects, energy reductions measures, materials and construction logistics
- Sharing examples and insights on carbon reducing engineering and design inspirations across Canada’s healthcare projects
- A Panel discussion sharing insights on how do we create targets for standardization in Canada that will promote lower carbon alternatives in healthcare settings and move together with the health system to achieve targets? What are the issues and challenges that we need to plan, design and fund for?...and more!
