Governments continue to introduce policy, process, and financial changes to promote the speedy delivery of housing.
Back by popular demand, this back-to-school webinar will give development, planning, legal, and finance professionals a practical refresher on where things stand, how they are shaking out in practice, and what the consequential measures are.
Designed as a highlights program and development process cheat sheet, this session will focus on reforms affecting development charges (DCs), taxes, parkland regulations, site plan control, and construction standards. Panelists will summarize key provincial changes and compare how Toronto and select GTA municipalities are implementing them.
For the first time, this edition of 'back-to-school' will take a financially grounded look at where recent reforms may generate savings or improve viability. It will also explore future regulatory and municipal decisions and policy reforms to watch for this fall.
