Sustainable Buildings Canada (SBC) will be hosting an Indigenous-focused Codes Acceleration Forum workshop in Thunder Bay on February 23rd, in collaboration with the First Nations Housing Conference (FNHC). This session has been designed for band councils, building officials and third-party inspection agencies, and anyone interested in understanding the codes landscape. Come hear from and learn with regional subject matter experts on tiered energy performance using a Part 9 local example!
Following this, SBC and OHBA’s Futures Faster program have teamed up to host a special afternoon session designed to infuse Indigenous land pedagogy into the way we develop resilient housing. This session will be open to members of all backgrounds and we invite your participation.
Both sessions are offered as live, in-person workshops with an optional online feed, and will be held at the Thunder Bay Valhalla Inn and Conference Centre. The morning session from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, with lunch and breakfast included, and the afternoon session from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
