Ontario's new Building Code, which comes into effect on January 1, 2025, will help reduce regulatory burdens for the construction industry and make it easier to build housing. We previously shared information about the province's training program to support the sector through this transition. As part of this training plan, the ministry has already announced four in-person training sessions in Clarington, Huntsville, Barrie and Toronto (CodeNews issue #362). The ministry is now announcing four additional training sessions to be held in Thunder Bay, Sudbury, London, and Ottawa.
These one-day in-person sessions will provide further information to explain key technical and administrative changes in the new Code and address your questions.
