Hosted on Zoom, the session includes Q&A, and a letter of attendance is also available.
In the one-hour presentation, we will discuss how companies are utilizing the Internet of Things to revolutionize the way we store and secure what matters most. Participants will gain knowledge of a variety of locking mechanisms, specifically concentrating on electromechanical locks—also called smart locks—that can be integrated into networks to allow for efficient and secure locker systems. By the end of this presentation, design professionals will be able to articulate the many features and benefits of these systems and specify smart locker technologies in any of their projects.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify different locking mechanisms and the safety features they include, focusing on new smart locking technologies;
- Demonstrate how smart locker technology is a space-saving tool that prioritizes efficiency and ease-of-use;
- Discuss the importance of controlled access, related to security measures and code compliance in multiple environments including healthcare, business, and law enforcement;
- Applicability of smart locker technology in a variety of design projects.
