Heat Pump Fundamentals for Designers/Mechanical Engineers

TIME: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

This course provides Designers, Architects, and Mechanical Engineers with essential knowledge on using heat pumps to support decarbonization in commercial buildings, focusing on Class B and C properties, business case development, and technical design considerations.  These buildings, often older and in need of efficiency upgrades, offer significant potential for energy and carbon reduction.

 

Instructor:

Sarkis Platis, A sustainability specialist with a focus on community infrastructure, Sarkis possesses expertise in existing building energy analysis, greenhouse gas emission accounting, and decarbonization strategies. Sarkis has seven years of experience decarbonizing all building types including industrial, institutional,  education, labs, offices, and residential. As a LEED AP, he is passionate about developing a sustainable built environment.
