Toronto's Eco-Roof Incentive Program offers incentives up to $100,000 for green roof projects and $50,000 for cool roof projects. All existing homes and buildings are eligible and some new buildings. About the Speakers:
Ana Cuciureanu is a recognized leader in environmental sustainability and community development. As a Project Lead with the City of Toronto, she advances green infrastructure initiatives such as the Eco-Roof Incentive Program. She also leads Splash on Earth, a nonprofit that transforms food waste into eco-paint for public art. Passionate about restoring urban biodiversity, Ana champions nature-based climate solutions that strengthen ecosystems and build climate resilience. With a multidisciplinary background in architecture, biology, and community engagement, her work has earned numerous accolades, including the King Charles III Coronation Medal.
Evan Artis grew up in the High Park neighborhood of Toronto and has always had a love of urban green spaces. He has a Masters degree in Geography from the University of Guelph. In his role with the City of Toronto Environment, Climate, and Forestry Division he works to increase the amount of urban green space to support climate adaptation and mitigation.
