Debunking Common Myths in Cavity Batt Insulation

This course will explore the myths within cavity wall insulation.  We will review noncombustible and combustible insulation types.  We will discuss insulation installation techniques that help optimize performance.   We will examine moisture intrusion in the wall cavity and ways to mitigate it.  We will show how different material selection impacts the carbon footprint in interior walls.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to: 

  • Identify non-combustible and combustible products and where to find more information 
  • Recognize properly installed cavity batt insulation. 
  • Describe clear strategies regarding moisture in the wall cavity. 
  • Describe how different material selection impacts the carbon footprint in interior walls.
