This spring CEC is offering contract administration seminars which will be covered in two parts to follow the suggestion after our very successful seminar in the winter. These two parts are: The introduction to the contract administration (referred as part1) and advanced contract administration (part 2).
We are focusing hereby on part 1 which will be presented in two days during the weekend of March 24-25, 2018. This seminar will include some activities, workshops as well as overall discussions in real life project situations and cover the following course outline.
Course outline:
- Preparation of a project and the process of having the contracts.
- Contract types and Project Delivery types.
- Type of Project Bidding and List of Bid Package requirements.
- Award the contract.
- Documentation related to Site work / Construction Phase.
- Dispute Resolution Steps.
- Overview on CCDC2.
- Introduction on Construction Liens.
- Some software used in the market (it vary depends on client and/or consultant’s preferences).
Instructor: Ashraf Hanna, MRAIC, CCCA
With more than 25 years of experience, graduated from Cairo University in 1992 and having Canadian bachelor of Architecture in 1998. Member of Ontario Association of Architects (OAA), Member of The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC), Member of Project Management institute (PMI), Member of Construction Specification Canada (CSC) and accredited as Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA).
Working experience: Ashraf is a project manager and Senior Contract Administrator for several of mega projects including High-rise buildings in USA and UAE as well involve in major institutional projects in Canada (St. Josephs Hamilton, Montfort Hospital Ottawa, and Credit Valley Hospital).
