On Monday, November 23, Join The Globe and Mail and a panel of experts as we explore how and why corporate Canada, philanthropists, investors and social entrepreneurs should become involved in housing development.

Canada’s large urban centres are facing a shortage of affordable housing as job growth and rising populations continue to drive demand. Government policy has a role to play but there’s an increasing awareness of the benefits to be gained by bringing new partners to the table. How and why should corporate Canada, philanthropists, investors and social entrepreneurs become involved in housing development?

The Globe and Mail, in partnership with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, will host a webcast on Monday, November 23rd to highlight the power of new partnerships in addressing Canada’s housing needs and supporting Canadian growth and prosperity.

Moderator: Rita Trichur, Senior Business Writer, The Globe and Mail

Panelist:

  • Michelle Killoran, Principal, OMERS Ventures
  • Carole Saab, CEO, Federation of Canadian Municipalities
  •  Evan Siddall, President and CEO, Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation
