The Association for Preservation Technology International (APT) and the National Trust for Canada (in association with the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals) are collaborating again to present HINDSIGHT 2020. Architects, engineers, planners, craftspeople, policy makers, preservationists and heritage volunteers will come together to share the best in technology, policy and techniques for conserving and renewing heritage buildings, communities, engineering works and landscapes.
Architects will find rich opportunities for professional development with 5 tracks of concurrent sessions on the following themes: Design Impact – Sensitive additions and infill in historic districts; Indigenous cultural heritage, reconciliation, and sites of conscience; Social and Environmental Impact – Green, inclusive, and healthy communities; and Economic Impact – Heritage-led development and policy change.
Join international expert workshops and virtual field sessions on carbon reduction and heritage conservation, vernacular earth and timber architecture conservation, the latest in digital documentation technologies, conserving mid-century structures, a special symposium on lime mortars, and more.
