Deep Dive on European Bricks hosted by Kreitmaker Inc

During this year’s OAA Virtual Conference in May, the online sessions offered were well-received and provided insights into a variety of topics. The OAA would like to remind members that the 2021 OAA Virtual Sessions are now available on YouTube. This includes the core Continuing Education learning offered at Conference as well as the Sponsored Sessions and Virtual Tours. All available sessions are on the OAA YouTube channel organized in the OAA Virtual Conference Week 2021 playlist. We encourage you to explore these sessions as a suite of on-demand offerings. These sessions are considered unstructured hours when viewed in this format.

At this time, we’d like to spotlight a session offered by one of our generous Conference sponsors. To view the full session, please click here.

With overall sales of building materials like bricks rebounding back to pre-COVID levels, according to Builders Merchants Building Index, architects and designers must stay on-top of trends to ensure their next project appeals to stakeholders.

To help plan ahead for your project, Kreitmaker Inc. has opened an interactive idea space in Toronto to offer architects and designers a chance to really get to know their exclusive line of bricks from Europe.

In this interview-style learning session — filmed in Kreitmaker’s brand-new idea space — you will learn about a variety of their products for use in your next project.

They’ll discuss:

  • The Vintage Brick collection from England, which is a go-to source for architects, designers, and masonry restoration specialists to find the perfect brick for their projects;
  • The Mora Clinker collection out of Spain, known for whiter whites, blacker blacks, and everything in between;
  • King Klinker who provides thin brick for stunning architectural design that leaves a lasting legacy of distinction, caliber, and craftsmanship;
  • Randers Tegl’s linear format series, Ultima, which has the length of two ordinary bricks and a height of just 38 mm.
  • Plus, Randers from Denmark, Nelissen Bricks, and Imperial bricks

This session will also provide insight into how the bricks are made, directly from the manufacturers themselves. Be sure to catch this session to:

  • See an overview of the new idea space
  • Learn more about each collection
  • Learn how bricks are made

When you’re ready, be sure to book a visit to Kreitmaker’s interactive idea space in Toronto. You’ll get a chance to experience their exclusive line of bricks from Europe.
