CDS Junior School Street View
I am sharing some design sketches produced to assist with a fundraising campaign for a new Junior School in King City. The school board specifically requested this type of "softer" rendering versus computer-generated realism. As a Signature Member of the Toronto Watercolour Society, my watercolours tend toward landscapes and Toronto's ravines. However, the school board specifically wanted these pen and watercolour crayon drawings to generate initial excitement about the project and convey the freshness the new addition would bring to the 1970s wing. The sketches also assisted in the design process by setting out the image we wished to project. The sketches proved extremely successful and the response to the campaign was overwhelming. The project has just started construction.
