Code Data Matrix Tools - Multi-tab Excel Workbook

Legislative Transition Period Notice:

The first day to submit for permit under Ontario’s new 2024 Building Code (OBC) is January 1, 2025 whereas the last day to submit for permit under the 2012 OBC is March 31, 2025.

Normally there is only one current version of a Practice Tip at any given time; however, during this transition period, there is both a 2012 OBC and a 2024 OBC version which are current. Members should confirm with the applicable municipality what their processes are before submitting for permit on behalf of their clients.
