Noam Hazan Design Studio Architecture + Interior Design is a dynamic and creative studio that takes a multi-disciplinary approach to all projects, aiming to push the limits in design. Our studio specializes in Custom Homes and multi-family residential projects, ranging from 4 units to over 25 units. We also do institutional work such as synagogues. Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Technologist role based in Toronto, ON. The technologist will support projects from design development through permit and construction documentation, producing coordinated drawing sets. Day-to-day tasks include modelling and documenting projects in Revit, developing plans, sections, elevations, and wall and assembly details, running zoning and OBC compliance checks, preparing building permit and Committee of Adjustment submissions, and responding to plan examiner comments. The role also involves coordinating with structural, mechanical, and energy consultants, maintaining drawing standards and project files, issuing revisions, and supporting the team during construction with RFIs, shop drawing review, and site review as required.
Qualifications
KEY REQUIREMENT: VERY STRONG TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITY TO PRODUCE DETAILED CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS.

Proficiency in Revit for documentation, including families, sheets, schedules, and detailing. AutoCAD and SketchUp or Rhino an asset.

Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.

Familiarity with Toronto Zoning By-laws and GTA municipal zoning review, permit application processes, and Committee of Adjustment submissions.

Ability to draft clear, buildable details and assemblies, and to coordinate consultant drawings into a complete set.

Solid research skills for materials, products, and assemblies, and the ability to translate manufacturer data into accurate documentation.

Strong attention to detail, with the organizational and time-management ability to run several projects at once against permit deadlines.

Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset suited to a small studio environment.

Diploma or degree in architectural technology, architectural science, architecture, or a related field. Licensed Technologist OAA or eligibility is an asset.

8+ years of work experience.

Must have 5+ years experience. Ideally with some mid-rise part 3 experience.
Salary Range: $65,000 to $80,000
