Position Summary
WW+P is seeking a Senior Architect - (Major Aviation
Infrastructure) to join our Toronto Studio and support the delivery of a major
aviation infrastructure project.
The successful candidate will possess strong technical
expertise, advanced Revit proficiency, and significant experience developing
and leading architectural design and construction documentation packages from
Schematic Design through Issued for Construction (IFC). Working under the
direction of a Project Manager and Technical Lead, the Senior Architect will be
responsible for coordinating architectural deliverables, leading production
teams, managing technical design development, and supporting multidisciplinary
project coordination in a complex airport environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the development of architectural design and
technical documentation from Schematic Design (SD) through Design Development
(DD), Construction Documents (CD), and Issued for Construction (IFC).

Produce, coordinate, and review complex
architectural drawing packages using Revit.
·
Develop technical solutions that satisfy project
requirements, code compliance, operational constraints, and constructability
considerations.

Coordinate architectural design and
documentation with structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, baggage handling,
security, and specialty consultants.
·
Participate in design reviews, interdisciplinary
coordination meetings, and stakeholder workshops.
·
Review consultant drawings and models to
identify conflicts and resolve coordination issues.
·
Support quality assurance and quality control
reviews at key project milestones.
·
Assist in responding to RFIs, reviewing shop
drawings, and supporting construction administration activities.
·
Mentor intermediate and junior architects,
technologists and BIM staff.
·
Support project planning, work-sharing, and
production scheduling to meet project milestones and deadlines.
·
Ensure compliance with applicable building
codes, accessibility requirements, airport standards, and project-specific
design criteria.
Qualifications
·
Professional degree in Architecture from an
accredited institution.
·
Architect (OAA) or eligible for registration in
Ontario is considered an asset.
·
Minimum 10-15 years of professional experience.
·
Demonstrated experience delivering projects from
SD through IFC documentation.
·
Extensive experience preparing and coordinating
construction documents for large, complex projects.
·
Advanced proficiency in Revit is required.
·
Strong understanding of BIM workflows, model
management, and interdisciplinary coordination.
·
Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Building Code,
National Building Code, accessibility requirements, and industry standards.
·
Experience working within multidisciplinary
consultant teams.
·
Construction Administration experience is
considered an asset.
·
Aviation, transportation, healthcare,
institutional, or large public infrastructure experience is preferred.

Experience coordinating highly serviced and
technically complex facilities.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 to
$120,000 or commensurate based on experience.
