About us
Micacchi Architecture is a small Toronto studio doing modern and transitional custom residential work: single-family homes, cottages and estates, multi-unit residential, and rezoning and entitlement projects, plus some commercial. We're a small team, so you'll work straight with the principal and be involved in projects from first sketch through construction. We're an all-Apple office.

The role
We're looking for an Intern Architect to take a real part in projects at every stage. You'll work on:

• Base building drawings, site measurement, and existing conditions documentation
• Schematic design, design development, and presentation drawings and renderings
• Zoning and Ontario Building Code analysis (Part 9 and Part 3)
• Building permit and Committee of Adjustment submissions, and responding to City comments
• Coordination with structural, mechanical, and landscape consultants
• Construction documents, shop drawing review, and site visits during construction

What we're looking for

• M.Arch. from a CACB-accredited program (or equivalent)
• 0 to 5 years of experience; enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, the OAA Intern Architect Program
• Working knowledge of ArchiCAD (strong Revit users who are keen to switch are welcome)
• Comfortable working on macOS
• Twinmotion or similar rendering software is an asset
• Familiarity with the OBC and Toronto zoning bylaws is an asset
• A strong interest in AI tools and how they can be used in architectural practice is an asset
• Strong design sense and careful, well-organized drawings
• Clear written and verbal communication with clients, consultants, and the City
• Interest in high-performance building (Passive House) is an asset

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 (dependent on skills and experience)
