Where is the job located?

We are seeking applicants who are currently living or are willing to relocate to North Bay, Sudbury, Timmins, or other communities in Northeastern Ontario.

 

The Role:

Mitchell Jensen Architects is seeking an experienced Construction Contract Administrator to assume this highly-valued role within our office, guiding projects through the construction process.  Primary duties will include:

  • Collaborate with the project architect and project manager

  • Monitor construction progress, conduct site visits, and prepare construction review reports

  • Prepare construction phase documentation including site instructions, proposed changes, change orders, and miscellaneous logs

  • Address construction contract questions and interpretations

  • Review contractor schedules, submittals, change quotes, applications for payment, etc.

  • Manage communications with clients during the construction phase

  • Manage subconsultant communication and coordination during the construction phase

 

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Construction Administrator and/or Project Manager

  • Proficiency in Autocad and Microsoft Suite

  • Excellent knowledge of project delivery types and construction contracts

  • Excellent knowledge of the Ontario Building Code

  • Basic understanding of municipal regulations and approval processes

  • A base salary ranging from $75-$95k per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
