My interest in serving on OAA Council derives from supporting the OAA’s mandate through building and sharing professional knowledge.

I am the Discipline Lead for Architecture at Dillon (Dillon Building Design Ltd., Engineers and Architects). My current work includes facilities for Indigenous communities, northern climate projects, community infrastructure work, and serving as owner’s representative. My current areas of focus include applying AI-enabled tools for practice, circular economy in the built-environment, and climate-responsive practice.

Through my career, I have worked across several regions of Ontario, including the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, the Ottawa Region, Western Ontario and Northern Ontario. My professional experience includes a variety of types of architectural practice, including corporate in-house, small and medium sized practices, and multi-disciplinary consulting. It also includes practice in a variety of sectors, including post-secondary education, healthcare, corporate, community and industrial sectors; and a range of procurement and delivery models.

I served on OAA Council from 2017 to 2019 as Vice President Practice; and as Senior Vice President & Treasurer. I was a member of the Governance Committee and chaired the Budget Committee, the Education Committee (leading its transition to the Comprehensive Education Committee in 2019), and the Practice Committee. I contributed to provincial consultations on the Ontario Building Code through the Sub-Committee on Building Codes & Regulation and served on the Policy Advisory Coordination Team. I was an interlocking Director on the Board of Pro-Demnity Insurance Company, supporting governance and onboarding of the incoming Pro-Demnity President and CEO. I participated in the Engineers, Architects, Building Officials Liaison Group and the Coordinating Licensed Professional Joint Subcommittee between Professional Engineers of Ontario and the OAA to develop guidelines for professional coordination.

From 2013 to 2023, I served as mentor and guest critic for the RAIC Syllabus, London Chapter. Also, I currently serve as a mentor for two interns and a supervisor for one intern.

I served as Chair of the London Society of Architects from 2014 to 2019. In this role I supported initial relationship building with community partners and helped to align the strategic roles of the Society.
